Mary grew up in Midhurst and went straight from school to St Georges Hospital Medical School in South London. She moved back to Chichester to finish her GP training locally in 2000. She became a partner at Parklands Surgery in 2004, taking over from Tim Hammond.
Her medical interests include contraception (particularly coil and implant fitting), paediatrics, women’s health as well as geriatric medicine.
She works full time as her husband has developed myasthenia gravis and neuromyotonia. He is therefore at home caring for three children (and dog) and has to go to London regularly for treatment.
Outside work, Mary enjoys spending time with her family, training and competing in triathlons, skiing, walking and reading. She is also a member of St. Paul’s Church and Chichester Ladies Circle, a social group that raises money for local charities.
